Unlocking Your Vision 2020
with Revivalist David Foxworth and Profit Chuck Smith

Our gathering began with a light brunch intermingling with others. Anna Trask welcomed everyone and introduced our speakers.  Louise Brown Wait opened with reading Psalm 150, A Psalm of Praise. “…Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! We worshiped with rejoicing to Worship Video, Yeshua Hamashiach, Lion of Judah (Paul Wilbur).

Session One:  Revivalist Dr. David Foxworth
Dr. David Foxworth, the communications pastor from Antioch International Church, has been studying revival for over thirty years, and he shared a prophetic word announcing that revival is coming.

Matthew 4:4 “But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’” God is a promise keeping God. He is Sovereign.  His promises are yes and amen!

Dr. Foxworth shared the following Revival Promises from the Word of the Lord:

  • Joel 2:28-29, “It will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions. 29 “Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.”

There is a coming revival – a great outpouring, bigger than we can imagine. There will be a convergence of all past revivals: Salvation, Healing, Reform, Holiness… The streams are coming together. The power of God will be manifested through signs and wonders. There needs to be purity along with the power. . .Get ready. Get alone with God because there is a release of revival. Pray for revival.

  • Isaiah 57:15, “For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, “I dwell ona high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.”

God dwells with us to revive us. He is high and exalted. He dwells on a high and holy place.  The key for an awakening is cleansing and healing.  God is coming to get His Bride ready.  Seek the Lord. Pray for revival. God dwells with the contrite and lowly of spirit in order to revive them.  He will revive the hearts of the contrite. Invite His Presence. His glory is coming to rest upon His Bride.  He promises to revive those who come to Him.

  • Isaiah 44:3-5, “For I will pour out water on the thirsty land And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring And My blessing on your descendants; And they will spring up among the grass Like poplars by streams of water.’ “This one will say, ‘I am the Lord’s’; And that one will call on the name of Jacob; And another will write onhis hand, ‘Belonging to the Lord,’ And will name Israel’s name with honor.”

God will pour His spirit over the thirsty and dry places. Isaiah 55:1 “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost.  God promises to pour out His Spirit on our offspring.

Revival Covenant
2 Chronicles 7:14, “and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Cry out to God for revival. 2 Chronicles 7:14 is God answer to Solomon’s Prayer in 2 Chronicles 6:12-42. He prays if we get off track and come to God and confess our sins, He will hear us and forgive us and heal our land. God sees anything being lifted up to Him.  Every revival is birthed in prayer.  Cry out to God for the nations.

Revelation 3:19-20, “Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore, be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and will dine with him, and he with Me.”

Here, God is speaking to the church.  If you SEEK Him you WILL FIND H:im if you seek Him with ALL YOUR HEART.

Application
The application is found in Isaiah 55:6-7:

Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord,
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.

Session Two:  Prophet Chuck Smith
Chuck Smith, prophetic minister at Antioch International Church and founder of Gateway Prophetic School, a training ministry in Charlotte, NC.  After opening in prayer, Pastor Smith gave a prophetic word to Knitting Hearts at the Beach.

Pastor Smith began his message quoting Psalm 27: 8. “When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ my heart said to You, ‘Your face, LORD, I will seek.’”  The Lord is looking for the people of God to come together in unity. Pastor Smith said that the Lord is calling diverse groups for specific purposes that will lead to a great anointing and demonstration of the five-fold gifts.

Five-Fold Ministry is the government of God to equip the people of God. Jesus gave gifts to men: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers, and Pastors.

Ephesians 4:11-13, “And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;  until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.”

God works in Five-Fold Ministry Teams; working together to equip and empower the church for the work of the ministry. Apostles plant, help, release, call forth giftings. Prophets impart; unlocks the prophetic. When we come into alignment with five-fold ministry, there is nothing impossible with God. Take care of the prophetic words given to you; steward the word.

All may prophesy, “For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all may be exhorted” 1 Corinthians 14:31.

1 Corinthians 14:1-3. “Pursue love, yet desire earnestly spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries. But one who prophesies speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation.”

Put your trust in the Lord God and you will be established.  Put your trust in His prophets and succeed. Believe in God’s NOW word…. Prophetic utterances… gifts of the Spirit.

2 Chronicles 20:20. “They rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa; and when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, put your trust in the Lord your God and you will be established. Put your trust in His prophets and succeed.”

Three misconceptions about the prophetic:

  1. Seek the Giver and not the Gifts. 1 Corinthians 14:1 tells us to pursue love and desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophesy.  1: Corinthians 14:3 tells us to desire earnestly to prophesy.
  2. If you ask for something you might get something bad. Luke 11:10-13, “For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened. Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?  Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”
  3. Afraid if we miss it, we are a false prophet. This is not true.  The Word says we prophesy in part.  Give grace to develop in our giftings.

Who can prophesy? Look at the totality of Scripture:  sons and daughters, believers, men, children, women, (Anna, Huldah, Miriam, Debra, Philip’s four daughters and many more). The word says all may prophesy, “For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all may be exhorted” 1 Corinthians 14:31.

Three aspects to every word or utterance:

  1. Revelation,
  2. Interpretation
  3. Application

Revelation: – The raw data coming out of heaven through many ways:  dreams, visions, impressions, Scripture, pictures in the “eyes of our hearts”, open visions, angelic visitations, audible voice of God.

Interpretation – We should ASK GOD.  All prophesy is to edify, encourage, and build up the body of Christ.  God is a GOOD, GOOD Father.

Application of prophetic word – When you’re given a prophetic word, act on it; apply the word. We’re told to judge the prophetic.  Remember, prophesy is for encouragement, edification, and comfort.  One should leave a conversation feeling comforted. When you’re given a prophetic word ASK God about it. PRAY about it.

Handle the Word of God correctly:
Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others pass judgment. (1 Corinthians 14:29) Do not quench the Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19). Do not believe every spirit. Test the spirits. (1 John 4:1).  False prophets have an agenda.  No person’s ministry is exempt from judgment. Weigh the words of others. Judge it. The Word of God speaks. Judging removes the enemy’s influence.  Submit ministry to judgement. Work in teams.

We need spiritual ears to hear:
Psalm 27: 8. “When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ my heart said to You, ‘Your face, LORD, I will seek.’” We must turn around to respond to His cry. This is a command. Each one of us must respond, “Yes, Lord, I will seek Your face.”
