It’s time to take our positions in alignment with God’s plans and purposes for our lives.
We reap the good of our yesterdays. We prepare for the good of our futures.  We live in the power and purpose of our now.

“It’s Time—Accessing the Power of Now,”
This message, by Deena Schuffler, challenges us to focus on experiencing the glory of God and receiving His anointing for the next season of our lives. She recalled Jesus’ riding on the colt of a donkey as hosannas rang out and prophesies were fulfilled that proclaimed Him as the Messiah. The hour had come for the Son of God to be glorified. Jesus laid down His life for the people of the world and would be glorified through His seed. Jesus would share His glory with the redeemed. Glorified means praised, to cause the dignity and worth of some person to be manifested and acknowledged. Jesus, the Seed, was planted, rose up from the grave, and ascended to His Father. He asked His Father to send the Holy Spirit. He proclaimed that when the Holy Spirit came, He would share what was His. The Holy Spirit would glorify Jesus through us, His followers.

The darkness of the world is intense, yet the glory of God is rising on His People. It is time for a rise in His Glory and for the Glory to rise up in each one of us. There is a shifting going on, and we need to know how to walk in this shift. To prepare for the instructions she would share with us, she recalled the story of Ruth and her mother-in-law, Naomi. While in Moab, Naomi lost her husband and her two sons and decided to return to Bethlehem. Ruth declared her allegiance to her mother-in-law and returned with her. Ruth 3 explained how Ruth became the bride of Boaz.

The church has been through seasons, and the Lord is inviting the church to step out and into something significant. God says, “I have something more for you.” We have been walking as servants, and it is time to graduate. There is Something More. It is time to take on the heart of the Bride of Christ. We are not slaves working in the fields as Ruth was when she first returned from Moab with Naomi. Following the laws of the land, she gleaned the corners of the field to obtain food for her and Naomi. Later she listened to the advice of her mother-in-law and sought marriage with Boaz as a kinsman redeemer.

When Ruth obeyed Naomi seeking for her rights, Boaz agreed. Ruth learned the difference between being a slave and being a bride. We, His people, need to beware of the works mentality. We must rest in His purpose for our lives instead of just striving to work.

Five Instructions… “It is Time.”

  1. We need to wash, take off the mentality of servant-hood and embrace the position of being His bride.
  2. We need His anointing. He is our perfume, and there is a fragrance of worship. We need to be aware of the anointing that Christ places in our lives through the Holy Spirit.
  3. We need to put on the mantel, the raiment that expresses all that we are called for and proclaims, “This is who I am in Christ. This is what I was born to do. God has gifted me for these ministries.” The Holy Spirit will do His work through us as we surrender to Him.
  4. We need to go down on the floor, to position ourselves at His feet, to humble ourselves before Him, and to wait in His presence.
  5. Finally, we are to obey His instructions.

God’s glory rests on each one of us, and we carry it wherever we are. His glory should precede us and fill the atmosphere, invading the fields where we work and serve. “The Holy Spirit is stirring up in each of us what He wants us to do. Let your imaginations go wild.” We are all chosen and glory carriers. God uses every aspect of our lives, past and present. She prompted us with the admonition, “Pick up those mantles, step into your destinies, and flow in the callings God has given you.” The Holy Spirit wants to release us into our next season as the bride of Christ.
